What are you 280 owners running your fuel curve at? 98 or -2? I am still running at 100 which is the same as 0. What are all the southern 280 guys running? I have carbon on my prop and I know I must be fat, black stains on my prop after I run.

According what your altitude, ambient temperature , humitidy, and the grade of superunleaded fuel octane alailability is in your area...I find most run best at -1 and some at even -2 I've done some ofshore motors for folks that run as lean as -3 but thier fuel is of better quality than "normal" pump gas...

Good luck,

If you are going to make those long high speed runs to Lake Salvador and back, i would leave it right where it's at. You don't need to spend a whole bunch of money for only a couple of mph. Now if you are going to race somebody for a short distance, 1/2 a mile or so i would do as Jay said. Just be sure you put some good gas and make sure you buy it for a place that sells a lot of fuel and have there tank filled often. later Larry D

You are right Larry, I'm going to leave it alone. I am getting carbon on my prop though. I'm going to use the seafoam, I guess.
