What cowl is this?

Supposed to be a 1989 XR4 on E-bay. It seems quite a bit different than my XR4. Mine is a clamshell and it won't close over a 40 amp flywheel cover.

Because your XR4 is a 1988.

Makes sense to me. How common/expensive are the bucket style cowls. I put a 40 amp alternator on mine, and there isn't room for the flywheel cover.

I do like the clamshell style. It's easy to ding with sumtin in a hurry, and easy to slip off when you have to get serious. Maybe I should just fiberglass a bump in it, and paint it hemi orange.
