Trouble with pics in this forum

Anyone have trouble with pics in this section? Mine are posting as links to my pics.

Nope ,Didn't have any problems posting. What format are your photos, That might be it? All I do is find the shot I want and attach it in the box below. Just hit Browse and go to the file that you have your photos in. Also they need to be 1024x768 or smaller.

Make sure you are attaching the acual image file, and NOT a SHORTCUT to the image. Otherwise the shortcut file will be attached instead. When you "browse" to attach the file, go directly to the folder where the image is saved.

Also, web addresses in posts automatically become highlighted links unless you disable this feature. They DO NOT display as images, though. The exception is the image specified in your signature. This must be a "host-able" image on the web, and will display at the bottom of your post. Be curteous--For the sake of faster load times, this picture should be less than 50K in filesize. Then we will all be able to see it without waiting...
1024 X 768 is a REDICULOUSLY BIG image that will take bloody ages to load for modem users like me. They should be no larger than 640 X 480 unless it is specifically showing fine detail related to the post's subject matter... Keep photos under 50K filesize.
The picture of my merc chopper below is 260 X 224, 11 K.

Thanks guys, I haven't had any trouble posting images in the other sections, just the history. I didn't know if I had to enable or disable something. I am using pics I have on my webpage.
Oh and I do have huge pictures, I use 1600 x 1200 on a 19" monitor. I guess if I was set to 800 x 600 and a 15 monitor my pics would be huge. Sorry about that guys. I'll knock the size down.
What do you guys think about me posting the pics just fine in the General discussion area and classifieds but not here?

That is a HUGE picture. It took about 2 minutes to load before I could see it. That larger image would be nice for the multimedia section, if someone wants to click on a thumbnail, they could see the 800 X 800 size.

Try this:
Before: 800 X 800 @ 140K
After: 419 X 419 @ 25K

much better! You can still see the detail, too. Loads in 8 seconds instead of 90 seconds for modem users.
