I was going through our shop and realized that we have truly accumulated too much stuff. I was talking with Balzy and he had mentioned that a few guys had thought of having a swap meet. What are some thoughts on that? I guess this is more for us folks in the IL/MN/WI/IA/IN/MI area, but if somebody wants to drive up, that would be great too.

I would be more than happy to host it and provide food, etc. but the location would have to be most suitable for everybody involved.

I would like to have a garage sale of sorts and maybe swap out some stuff I've got several of for stuff that other people have.

What do you think?

The idea sounds great........... But I dont see myself driving that far for a swap meet.

However, a more central location with a boat run and you got your self a deal!! Boat flying all day and swapping all nite sounds much more enticing.Do we have to shoot MAD DOG after each trade???? Oh yea that's Parker..........

Thats a great idea but " Location " is definately gonna play
an important part of turnout.

Whats the time frame you where thinking of ????????

If people are up for it, we'd throw it together in the next few weeks.

LOL, just kidding pal. Sorry you and Papa Kappy couldn't make it to dinner last week. Sam, I looked around the shop after we talked and I will probably keep most of the stuff I have for spares, but that doesn't mean I can't buy some more. I think we could do one soon and another at the rumble. We could do another one here during BTTW. We could do it at my shop the night the throw the fryout. Everyone will be here anyway. I think we could do these at a lot of events.

Sam great idea, maybe your dad can do one in Florida as well. How about one during the Mationals in Kankakee? What better way to introduce the races and a one stop shopping for new and used boats, parts etc? Guys from all over the country will be there anyway.

Between Sam, Balzy and let's not forget Brad Collins, this is a plan! Heck, If we had another swap at Nickfest in September, we could even include SLED parts!

I'll set a date soon! I have to be sure that there isn't a fishing tournament on the same day like last year! Muskies and Mercs don't mix too well! Hehehe!
