Any one have pics of the bow rests for catamaran trailers. Recently bought a Liberator and I’m not a fan of the bow tie down on the trailer. The attached pic is the best I have, but it’s just a bar that come up and grabs the bow eye. You can just catch a glimpse of the rope used to hold it down to the trailer. I would like to see some other examples. I was thinking of something that looks like football uprights. Thanks

the stock libertor trailer came with a bar in the front, you had to use a screw or a pin thru the bow eye of the boat.. i hatted this also. you will need to buy a winch stand assembly and add it to your trailer.. i live in a salt water area so i had to buy the whole darn trailer .. you got my favorite color design for the 21.. here are some pic's of my trailer.. latter rick

Check with Wildman . He's a Liberator distributor ,and he uses his own trailers . I think there more like Merctech is showing you . Rich Martin 018:cool:

I would'nt suggest the football goat type fronts unless you use a chain to keep the rubrail at least an inch away from it. If it touchs and you hit a few bumps, it can rip the rubrail right off. This one was a custom built trailer and we had to use the chain. I now use a winch like Merctech, but I still use a chain to keep the boat from coming too far forward. The winch handle won't crank if it gets too far forward either.

Thanks all. Wildman, I hadn't thought of ripping the rub rail off. I would have learned the hard way. Do you sell the winch assemblies or know where I can buy it? Also, the boat came with a Mazco AR4 28 pitch, what is your opinion on that prop / boat combination? I haven't had a chance to drive it yet so I couldn't tell you how it feels. My desire is to have a prop that pulls real hard out of the hole but limits my top end from being too crazy. I read in a previous post that you hooked the Harley Liberator up with something similar but don't remember the prop and max rpm he was reaching. Thanks

Here's ours on the front of an Eliminator.
In theory I think it may have worked well, supporting the hull and stopping against the rubrail. But the angle doesn't match the boat (its off by about 30deg), and as a result the horizontal bar rubs on the gelcoat above the rubrail.
We need to repair the gel and cut/re-weld the supports to match the boat, just haven't gotten to it yet.

My Skater I had a chain that hooked to the eye and went toward the back of the trailer, then I used the front ratchet to pull it forward and then use a chain with a turn buckle this way the rubrail will not rub against anything.
