There are a few lakes within an hour or two from Toronto with lots of fast boats .Here are a few scugog, rice, chemong, buckhorn, pigeon lakes plus a little further north into the Muskokas. But as for organized races or events like that the insurance companies have pretty well crushed those. But there are plenty of fast boats around and some nice people driving them too.

Thursday nights and pretty much every weekend!

Bogbash is in the spring and is a must attend event!

And I'm sure there will be a convoy of hosers headed to the RUMBLE '07.

I second that, the Bogbash is the event to be at, at least if the summer one is like the winter one

Thats a good lookin winder, what year and what ya got for power. what speeds are ya seein. Lake scugog is just north east of the city, main town is Port Perry. Bogbash is an event at one of the guy's houses that lives on the lake, they have a winter one and a summer one, lots of very fast boats show up.

There is a whole forum devoted to Sidewinders at

http://realityboatco.com/sidewindertalk

but with this boat it gets really tipsy at high speeds, i dont think i get the full 150horses tho cuz the motors probably tired (37 years old, more then double my age, lol)

:D ya thats my sidewinder.

I think many Ontario hi-performance boaters have a Sidewinder in our pasts.

I had a 14' with a Johnson 115 on it.

Maybe I can get someone to drag my Ally to the bog, or I'll bring the Voo Doo. I haven't been on Scugog since the 60's.

Is Thursday May 10 too soon? We will be on vacation that week, so that's when boating starts for me.

Everything is relative, I guess. It did about 55 and chine walked like crazy. This was my first "performance boat" and didn't know jack from squat.

The first in a growing longer line.
