I heard there is a shifting problem with these? Heard GM is not making good on it.

Anyone on the board have any "facts" on this issue? I have a 2001 and it is shifting very rough. My old 1999 shifted perfectly. New truck has 17k. Fluid is OK.

Mine goes to the dealer tuesday. Just want to have some better info w/me.

Vinnie _ Not sure what your problem is I know they had a problem back in 1996 when they came out with the 5.3L vortec I knew a lot of people who were rebuilding transmissions after 20k miles most of those were Z71 half ton. Not real sure if there is still a problem just wanted to let you know!
