Hi, Sure their are a lot of choice power plants i can mount, but its her boat, want something thats real easy on the wallet, heard any bad P.R. on the Tohatsu brand outboard, thier price falls in real nice with my budget, for a two stroke.

Thats not a budget motor J.Maybe a high budget motor.:D

Racemore, a e-tec is 8,600 plus tt&l and controls, prop, and rigging in a 70hp its $9,700.00 OUT THE DOOR AS THE MAN SAID AS I LEFT, i can get a tohatsu at $7,400.00 plus tt&l and it comes with controls, prop, gauges, and rigged on the back of her aluminum can

Tohatsu seems to be good I sub work for a dealer and he has not had many problems and we are in bad salt water. Hunt around for price cause I have seen them really reasonable. Rick

that is insane for a 70hp you can buy a 90yamaha for less than that you need to shop around call central marine in st pete they will distroy that price on a 90yam plus ship it to you call and ask for mike 7273686119 keys dave:D

dez nuts, thanks for the info, but no thanks to a yamahaaaa you want it to run, never had any luck with thier products, and the wife would be one pissed off, WIFE, if i mounted a yamahaaa (thats what left her floating in the bay for 41/2 hours) i be another 6:00 news report (man found dead, hanging by his)

I just repowered with a 90 Merc around 6500, been a great motor, pushes the 21 ft suntracker real well

n = 1, small sample size. My 70 Nissan was made by Tohatsu. Great motor. I think their reputation is good.
