Theres a few rule changes that I thought ya'll should be aware of......

#1 Ballistic Shorts will be required in SE (11 second boats).

#2 Helmet restraints required in ALL boats (It was a rule in 2006 but now it will be better defined).

Have a safe raceing season!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Is that for ALL boats? Or just bracket boats?

SDBA runs under NDBA rules,,,,, So whatever NDBA says,,,SDBA will do!

Mike, I don't know if the IHBA rule on bilge pumps was for every class, but I do know it is mandatory for the Pro Hydros, due to the fuelers getting swamped on the rope and sinking.
The only problem with a hydro or tunnel boat is it takes 3 of the pumpsor a lot of piping work.

Mike

The page 26 helmet restraint must attch to a body harness? I know that some of them attach to the jacket is this not OK anymore?

Also ballistic shorts, if you are in a capsule jacket they have basically shorts in them is this OK?

Ballistic shorts are required for open boats. Pointless in a capsule boat. Rick, you may want to give me a call about the different requirements depending on which way you go with the new Quartershot.

Just got done installing my bilge pump for IHBA,was a pain:rolleyes: To think i will need it at the drags when it seen five years of big lake duty in the past without ever needing one:confused:IHBA even mandates if it is an auto type,it has to have manual override switch. If it saves a few boats from sinking and stalling the program,i guess it is a good rule
