You should give Ocean Marine a call - they are in Freeport. www.oceanmarine1.com (http://www.oceanmarine1.com). Jimmy Mulnar is the head mechanic there and does very good work.

Jimmy knows his stuff really well, he rigged more 22 activators than anyone in the late 80s. He helped me a lot with my boat. Defantly give them a call.

I like joey at eastcoast 631-422-7997
joey has only worked on performance boats for 30 years.
i guess that should say something for the quailty of workmanship.

I've had work done at both ECM and Marine2K.

I would avoid ECM when it's racing season unless you are spending major $$$$ with Joe, it took him 4 weeks to put my lower unit back together (2 weeks longer then promised) because he was off racing.... (It took him all of 30 mins to remove and tear down the lower unit when I brought the boat in, looked like he could do it in his sleep)

Bob at Marine 2K was a little better staying to his promised schedule, had him install a new gas tank, and mid on my 2.4. , but still not perfect - they foamed in the tank and the foam expanded more then they expected, putting the back of the tank just above the stringers... He just looked at me and shrugged...

Joey at East Coast is the best....... bar none.

The other shops mentioned are in many cases good as well..but Joey has more experience and talent than anyone else. While he may have had "issues" in the past when he was racing actively, you must also remember that there is a reason why he was sought after for years by the biggest names in the racing business and Mercury Racing as well...He is simply ...That good! His schedule is no longer an issue as he is not on any active race programs right now and has put his work priorities in better order.

He has my highest recommendation.

If someone is to be found guilty and ostracized in a public forum I
would like to see the facts.

I find it interesting that details, that are assumed private, are
posted in a public forum. To be fair everyone's IP address should be
POSTED, preferable in XML format. I'm certain other interesting details
can surely be mined.

Footnotes:
1)This system is written in perl script. I wouldn't rely on it
producing accurate data telling me my tractor is running out of gas, let
alone condemn someone.

2) This thread reads like a censored Blog from China or Iran. Is this
really about Fifty Bucks? Appears more like the "Communist manifesto"
being implemented word for word.

3) Users should be aware that the sysop is Data mining users, take
special note of the text "[View Other IP Addresses for this User]".
This clearly provides insight to intent.

4) "Don't tell your neighbor about the branch in his back yard till you
clean up the trunk in your own". In short update your copyright
notice.

5) You got way to much time on your hands.
