Stv (euro-river rocket 4 seater), mirage (4- seater), q-shot (T-4), liberator 18' ( 4-seater)
Which one of these boats would you buy, If you have a family of four, And still like to go fast, have fun, and look good while doing it. I also would like to hear your opinion on which one is the safest at high speeds, and hold up well in rough water two or three footers at the most or mainly other boats waves (transom, Stress cracks, etc). If I get one I will be putting a stock merc offshore 20" 260 with a sportsmaster. I know nothing about these boats, and have never seen one in person besides the stv Pro comp 4-seater that I own, I did see several STV's at rumble on the river this year, and a few mirages.

Quartershot if for no other reason than Jack Barsh! When you talk to him, he doesn't act like he's doing you a favor. Plus if you have a problem, he'll take care of it not act like it's your falt! Great Guy to deal with!

i own a 21 liberator and a qshot t3, if you plan to run n a busy lake where there is 2-3' wake i would not go for any of these boats. you will beat up your family and the boat.. a 21 liberator will be a better choice, pleanty of room for 4, still run in the 90's and walk over 2' chop.. rick

In true 2-3 footers the Liberator would be the only dry choice. Mirages and the others will stick a sponsen and get you wet. And scare the crap out of you in the process. I've seen it up close ! Mike

2 & 3 footers & 4 riders, then like the others said, you need at least a 21 footer.

A 21 Skater ! We aren't saying you can't go through 2-3 footers. Parker and I have. We are saying you will get wet and if your lucky all you'll tear up is yourself. Your passengers will not have any fun at all. Mike

This is all great advice for the conditions he is asking about. For the boats mentioned Q-shot is the best value for the money and great customer service. STV quality is very good but it comes with a big price tag. Best thing to do is find one of each and go for a ride and look very closely at each one, you will find something you like and dislike on each one, remember the search is half the fun

I have never seen a Q-shot or a Liberator in person, No one around here has a boat like that. I have a STV pro comp 4-seater and far as I know I'm the only one in the area, with one. There was a guy with a Mirage 3-seater, but it keep falling apart in the back sponsin, my spelling might be off. He bought the mirage brand new in 05 from some builder in FL.
I'm trying to get some info from owners that have these boats. Guys I boat on a river that has a current and we hardly ever have big waves like lakes, but I will hit alot of other boats waves, and a few barge waves.

John, I am not sure if Jack has a webb site if he does it will be fullthrotlepowerboats.com?? or something like that. Try a serch for fullthrotle power boats and see what you find. Like everyone has said except me who didn't read your whole question, If it's for bigger water, these arn't really good choices. The 21' Liberator would be close. WILDMAN--Randy Corson--on here sells them, and they are very nice. The STV's--even the euros--acording to people who own one "mist" water over the sponsons in any type of chop and are expensive! Very good boats tough. Some of the later Marages have had some problems but, the brand new boats look very noce--saw a 2007 ski racer this past weekend and it was sweet! But for dealing with someone who is HAPPY to talk to you, Jack Barsh is DE'MAN!! Now this is comming from someone who doesn't really care about tunnel boats of any breed! But I have delt with Jack and can't say enough good things about him or his product! Good Luck Shopping! Mike T.

Mike ive stuck one in our mirage, it was the first time of me driving.. but mirage is good for 1 foot chop :P

if you want the most room in a sub 20' of the ones you
named, you will have to look for a euro. if you would like
new, the q shot is your best bet. if you want bigger than
20' skater, liberator, etc.

Come on down to Florida and check them all out before you buy. Quartershot is in Jacksonville, and my Liberators are in Daytona Beach, 85 miles south on I-95. My website is below. Thanx, WILDMAN
