I am putting a 2.5 260 on a 2.4 200 mid. What do I need to do to the exhaust plate and tuner. Thanks in advance.

I was just going to ask the same question!
I started to install the exhaust plate from the 2.4 to my bare 2.5 block to start matching the exhaust ports and they have a different bolt pattern?? I am going to do a search and see what I find??

I believe what you guys need is the one piece exhaust plate and tuner off the 2.5 260/280 Merc's.
I made this engine swap from a 2.5 225 Promax to a 2.5 260/280 and went from a 2 piece exhaust plate to the one piece. If this swap is similar to mine you will also need to drill the top two motor mount bolt holes (in the swivel bracket) to accommodate the larger bolts that go into the exhaust plate itself.
Also you will need to tap the back three holes in midsection to the larger size bolts the 260 uses.

Mine is a 2.5 200 hp fishin motor, The feed back I got was they bolt right up? I didn't have the Extension plate so the bolts didn't line up in the rear,
My fault
I need two exhaust extension plates if any one has them??.
Thanks

Thanks guys. I thought the bolt up was OK, but was wondering about the exhaust port not matching up or being large enough.
