Even with all of this, I am not a pimple on the ass of two different people I know!
First ,On Discovery TV last year there was a show called ,Boys and their toys.
The winner was my friend Kermit Weeks.
Kermit owns Fantasy of Flight in Polk County Florida.
Starting, he has hundreds of acres of property on Interstate 4 with his own Exit. Along with his own lake and seaplane base he has a 2 runway airport, and approximately 200 collector airplane and 100,000 sq ft of buildings to house his stuff. His collection includes the top 2 P 51 www2 fighters, Spitfires, B 17, Kingair, and more ww1 aircraft than anyone else in the world.
He can and does fly all that are flyable and flew quite a few on Discovery TV.
Believe it or not he is number 2 on my list.
Number 1 is the guy that owns Red Bull.
I visited his place in Salzburg , Austria last year spending a week and a half with a free run of the place.
He owns 2 formula 1 teams at a cost of 50 Million each and 50 mil/year to keep them going. In his place he has about 30 different airplanes including several Indy cars, motorcycles, a 20 mil $ old Convair airplane,about 6 fighter jets, a 30 mil Falcon jet, and Cessna jet . He also sponsers numerous races and extreme sporting events around the world including, but not limited to ski, parachuting , flying, boating, snow mobiles, jet skis, Bikes, motorcycles and cars. He has about 100 employees to maintain his stuff and facilities.
He has two all glass clamshell shaped 20,000 sq foot buildings on the Salzburg International airport about 300 feet from the main runway.
His main building has a 3 level resturant and hanging from the roof in the center of the building is his personal all glass bar seating about 100 people.
He makes 3 Bil/year and spends 500 Mil/year just having fun.
To say the least he is number one in the world!

His real job is producing shows like spanish fly and a few others for ESPN. My latest toy. Bought it this past weekend dodging fires in southern California. It's on a transporter from Bakersfield heading for Indiana.

Fresh motor, Manley Stainless Steel valves, heads port matched, polished, cc'd, JE forged pistons, modified cam profiles, balanced, etc...Oh, did I mention that it's supercharged? (currently set at 6 psi boost thru break in) This is my 3rd 308, but looked hard for a black early B this time.

Fiberglass euro style bumpers and true dual Borla exhaust system shave nearly 400 lbs off the car too. Has both 16" 328 wheels and the stock set. Interior updated a bit with 328 style seats. All stock parts are with the car too, as well as typical tools, books, records, service coupons, etc...

1972 SS 454 Chevelle.

Yes it's a real SS 454, "W code" vin. car, was in south TX all it's life. My dad bought it at the Leake Muscle Car Auction at Tulsa in 06. I bought it from him in November 08. Plan on leaving it too my boys one day. The car was built in Arlington, TX 3rd week of June 1972. It's 11 mths younger than I am. :) Original block isn't in it but it DOES have a correct, date coded LS-5 454 block (3/72) in it. Original TH400 and 12 bolt rearend. Car is original colors, options inside and out. (Was restored a few years ago, only thing not returned original was the white vinyl top, thank God!)

85,000 original miles but while dad had it he yanked the motor too the bare block... new heads, crank, pistons, rods, bearings, 282 Crane cam, new/reman Qjet, original intake put back on, Mallory Electronic Ignition put on her, new radiator, total rebuild of the A/C, new springs, shocks and bushings underneath. He's an old body man so he realigned all the gaps/joints as well. Really neat having all that done by my dad in addition to making it truly "road ready" when I picked it up.

Always wanted one of my dads ol cars first and foremost, the fact that it's an original big block and a neat one like this (In 72 there were only 5,333 SS454 'velles built in total.) makes it that much neater. The wife doesn't like the Harley, but I can't keep her and the kids out of the ol 'velle. :thumbsup: My kids get a kick outta seeing the Cowl Induction jump open when I gag the ol gal.
