For those of you who dont know about Imron Dupont. Thats some "bad a$$ C#!t". I Painted a motor a few months ago, waited a few days, wet sand and buffed away two runs. Went back a few days ago and noticed a little small run..Huh! tried to wet sand and it was a hair from a waste of time. Dang thing was like steel.. Must say its the best stuff I've ever used and most anyone can use it because it flows smoothly unlike most other topcoats. Only advise is, be caerful and use a very good respirator. Thanks to S & F my paint job looks as good as professional..
Again, thanks!

Yep, you have a window in which to sand and buff, other wise you can forget it.

If you really want to see some stuff flow out, try some Awl-Grip!!!

imron has been around for years. it is a great product for durability. it flows like enamel but hard like steel when it has cured. you have a small window of sanding time. I would recomend it for mids, and lower units. you have to use the right sealers on the aluminum though.

Yep, our fire engines (red) hold up great out here in the AZ summers with Imron paint. Most of our trucks get waxed a couple times a decade...and thats on the high side.

I remember when you first came on inquiring bout the stuff, sure is my favorite, very docile to work with and super resilient to harsh environmental conditions. ( gas, oil, and most chemicals won't harm it once cured )( very tolerant to heat, great for engines )

Imron has great UV protection, most airplanes are painted with it. It's a great choice for boats, but very toxic so use it with care.
