My son has a pair of 2004 225 Opti's and loves them.
Can some one tell me the difference between 225 and 250 Opti's?
That is other than the 25 HP advertised difference.
What fuel do the larger motors use?
For a single high performance boat on a trailer it doe not matter so much, but for a off shore fishing boat kept on a lift it would be a pain to have to only fuel with premium.

I'll get you a new 250xs for $14,200. No tax if you're not in Florida. Email liberatorboats@yahoo.com. They have a 2 year warrantee. The five year special is not available on the 250xs.

The five year special is not available on the 250xs. i dont believe lugger is talking about xs motors and velox has a fishing boat so he would not need xs motors either. so they could get the free extended warranty if they choose the rite motors. and i believe the pro xs model also gets the free warranty.

The new Pro xs has the longer warrantee, and is also $2,000 more.

6,000lbs is a lot of weight, i would go with the 300
The difference between the newer 250xs and the older models (pre 2005) the older models require 93 octane. The newer one runs fine on 89.

Actually, there's a sticker right on the cowl that says "87 OCTANE"

I have an '03 250 XS with less than 30 hours on a new factory powerhead, Feb. 06, haven't looked at the hour meter for exact time, 30" shaft, has 2 piece driveshaft, can make it a 25" shaft, total 150 hours on mid and gearcase, in very nice conditon. I will let it go for $8,800.00. Ya, a little more than half the price of a new one. It pushes my 25' Powereplay 130 gal. of fuel and 4 people 59 mph on gps. Runs excellent. :)
