Where is this located and how do you get to it.

I Though Merc Racing Motors Didnt Have Poppets?? If It Does It Will Be On The Starboard Side On The Exhaust Adapter. Under The Skirt Assuming It Has One.

If it was BORN as a 280, it wont have one.

Indeed, the 280's do not have a poppet valve. However, there is a cover with a hose fitting located at the exact location you would expect to find a poppet valve as on all other 2.5 litre V-6 Mercs. Water exits OUT of the hose after it has passed through the block. Some of the water exiting the block ALSO is directed down through the exhaust housing to cool the tuner as well as the water pump housing.
