Mating lowerunit/mid section

Hello People.....Do you guys use any kind of silicone or gasket maker when assembling the lower unit to the mid section?? I haven't in the past and noticed some corrosion at the mating surfaces. Plus it chips the paint.

i dont, but if your getting corrosion you may want to grease the surface or use anti seize.
