This is rather strange to say the least... Took the Skeeter ZX175 w/2.5ltr 150 Merc out Sunday and it had been about a month since it was out last time... Has always read 5500-5600 on the tach at WOT and trimmed out... Well this time I noticed at normal cruise which about 4000 rpm which also about 40mph the tach was reading almost 4500rpm...? Trim did not affect it...? So finaly got to a not so windy area and hammered it and at normal full speed it was turning 6000 rpm...? Not sure if the tach is going south or what...? Motor did not sound any different and top speed was the same no loss in mph... I even killed the engine and power several times just to see if it would change but nothing...? I know 6000 rpm for a bone stock 2.5ltr is ok but its just strange the 500 rpm change...? (I may swap back to the other rectifier which was kinda intermittant)... BTW did the speed checking with the GPS and already knew what speeds and rpm`s it normaly ran...
