Asking this for a friend of mine who has a boat max rated for a 130. Just for kicks what year 130 would be the best/easiest to put a larger P/head on , or to modify for more power? WFO top end isnt his goal, the boat is a big heavy boat and just needs more umph..
I thought I saw a thread , or it could have been in a older issue of bassandwalleye, a while back that a 235? p/head would go onto a older model 150

If you are serious about wanting a 130 sleeper motor, Find you a 96, 90 degree, V-4 OMC 130. Send the powerhead out to racer and let him build you one.

Are talking 130 or 150, because one is a v-6 and the other is a v-4.

The late 80s 140 v-4 looper is another good one especially for a heavy boat. Rick
