ghost28 wondered what happened and for any others I post this wanted poster.
I got too lazy last summer, thats what 3 day work weeks and 4 day week ends do. Still have the Vette to put together. Mostly a plating problem on the calipers. The rear end is apart just needs to be put together. Which leads me to the boat. Just needs to be put together. Since I lost warm weather for that I'm back to casting odds and ends for it. Since I have all winter have decided to do the jet drives and am about to start doing the wax parts for them.
JET DRIVES ON AN STV:eek:
These are tiny 1.5hp electric docking and such toys. Figured out there were many benefits of jet drives over props, just the speed control alone is worth it since jets don't need speed controllers or motor reversing.
I tell myself I'll work on the boat through the winter but that never happens.

I should come back on the board more often if nothing for the motivation it supplies.
Anyway maybe next....hmmm whats longer than a year but shorter than a decade?:D

BTW I did find out my batteries don't fit in the boat. I mounted them a whole 1/2" too far forward and the hatch doesn't clear. So they go port instead of the center area.

The quiz today is guess what this stuff is. I'll give you the 2 easy ones. The STV things are to cover old speaker holes- they aren't finished yet. This is where my ropes will go, they're covers. Held in place with Neo magnets.
The handle is the passengers handle. If you can't figure out which is the handle its in the center top of the picture. The handly looking thing. These are all wax patterns for casting them in aluminum.

So any guesses what the other odds and one end are for?

Cool looking patterns!
I haven't tried any lost wax castings myself, but find it fasinating.
Good luck.

Welcome back Techno, stay longer this time...it is almost winter you know. I agree that you need to play more, but I do find your posts and website interesting. Gotta respect someone who teaches himself how to fabricate every nut and bolt on his projects. Few and far between these days!
