any of you guy have any suggestions as to the best way to attach a combing pad to the cockpit of a boat? It is basically a long pad about 5ft long by 3in, padded, that is about thigh high in a center console and runs around the inside of the cockpit. It would be nice to be able to remove them for cleaning but not necessary. Something between 5200 and duct tape would be great. :D

thanks for any suggestions,

hydrostream used a piece of alumium with two bends so the middle of the bracket was the thickness of the backer board. a hole is drill into the backer board [2"] so the first part of the bracket will fit in. the other end of the bracket was pop rivited [3/16] on to the glass. see sketch the green is the backer board, blue is al clip, black is boat, orange is paddind/cover.

Hey Jodie, ask Tom he knows best about that stuff ???

What is common is to screw through a snap to the glass then cover the snap with a button.. alot of boats are put together this way
