200 Opti SJ / Hi-Perf Optins?

Howdy All....

I'm lookn' for more punch outta Merc's 2.5 Liter / 200 Opti Sport Jet. (I loved the 240's, but have little love for the 250 Opti SJ)

Suggestions?

Could I mate the 2.5 XS Opti power head to the SJ pump & expansion chamber?

bolt patern is same

Physically, I think it's doable...Crank end is machined different and electronics need to be relocated to make room for expansion chamber.

The question is the XS programing.

How will the altered exhaust and jet impeller (vs prop) effect overall perf?

eary this year there was a thread that started from a guy in italy. he was racing 200XSs. he was trying to sort out the computer mapping. find the therad and PM him.
