Its me again. Looking for a good printer under $200. Fairly small would be nice but nothing too fancy. Color of course:)

Jamie, what is the primary use for the printer?

The wife has hinted that she would like to make some good prints of the pics we take. How often? I hav no clue but can tell you I'm not crazy about spending excess for ink etc.

But for me it would be to make the occasional document.

Dang Greg, I'm old school and hate to keep bugging you guys but you can only read so much on a products & then it becomes a matter of real world opinion for me. :)

look for a canon or epson with 6 or more individuals color tanks plus black. think about the overall use. do you need to print out manuals, if so is the printer capable of putting 2 pages on a side and back to back printing [ duplexing]. it also depend on how picky you are in prints. to get the full color gama you need 6 or 8 colors, does the camera support this??? $50 color printer do a good job to a point.

Thats what I'm thinking Bob. $50 and be done with it. We send out pics through the net for hand held prints if we want & not much more.

Had to ask you boys first as it seems the right thing to do.:)

anything but HP. I have purchased SIX hp printers or scanners, and every last one has broken or become inoperable.

I have a Canon i960, I love it.
