Have customer who has run hot twice with his outboard.

The control wiring harness is sealed in the deck of the boat and foam filled so no warning buzzer.

I would like to mount a buzzer and light.

Any suggestions? Or anyone have or know of a warning kit?

You could wire your own custom light to the same sensor(switch) on the head that the buzzer uses. I believe it works similar to the thermal switches that GM and the like use for fan circuits. The temp sensor is basically a switched path to ground. Get it hot enough and it shunts, completing the circuit, sounding the horn (or powering the light). Since you can't dig the buzzer out of the factory harness, you could easily wire it independent of the Merc stuff. That being said, you could run a stand alone buzzer without the light or a combination of the two.
