2003 Mercury 150 hp, carburated V-6 motor that had the bottom two cylinders below water and then sat for three months. Knowing this, I'm sure the whole rotating assembly is probably junk.

Checked with local dealer and he wants $10K for a new powerhead and $6K for a remaned powerhead, neither of these are viable options.

He said this would be a 2.5 powerhead, will any 2.5 crank, rods and bearings work in this 150 block? Anyone know of a good source for used merc parts where I could buy a good, complete rotating assy and what a crank, six rods and bearings would cost that will work in this motor. Looks like my rebuilding this block is going to be the only option if this motor is going to run again.

There is a place in Pa. that specializes in rebuilding and gives a warranty. I have seen his blocks and motors on EBay. They off 1 day turn around service. Try a search on EBay for mercury O/B 's
