I need to replace the front stud on my cle. I tried two tightened nuts but it didn't budge. Will heat help? Help Mike

the only way is the torch . i heat then spray it a few times (wd-40 )......before even trying hard , just to let the oil soak in . then i will put the heat on until it comes out . be patient

If your tight with your dealer, he will use his stud remover for lil, or nuthin'

Be careful with the torch. You won't like what happens if you get it too hot, and don't forget the shift shaft seal isn't far away.
You might try a stud remover on it first and see if heat is necessary. I bought a set that's the type with the little wheels that look like tubing cutter wheels that go in between the threads and it works really well. I previously had a universal type that had a knurled wheel that put the stud in a bind, and it would damage threads on a tight stud.

put a little heat such a propane very little around the base of the stub only to losen the locktite that will let the stud come out it won't take much.
