70 Yammis are great all around motors. Have a few buddies that run them. Dont take a whole lot to turn them up either!

The Yamaha 70 TLR 2 Stroke is a light weight (228lbs) dynamo, carburated 3 cylinder inline, 20" shaft, oil injected, with power trim and tilt. This baby is a Diehard, Powerhouse that can easily be tweeked and one of the most popular motors of it's size, unfortunately it is doomed for extinction, like so many other carburated 2 strokes. It is uncertain when it will be pulled out of production but, the day it does happen, this one will truly be missed. My advise to you, if the price is right , purchase the engine with your eyes closed, you will enjoy it's everlasting performance for many years to come. I know of many professional fishing guides running 70s now, that have already purchased brand new spare engines, to have for future repower incase they stop production.
Yamaha 70 TLR 2 STROKE MSRP $ 6,640.00
Good luck with your purchase, and Enjoy!
Peace! FIG
