I purchased a velocity with twins mounted on a portalift bracket. While replacing the seals in the hydraulic cylinders my mechanic noticed that they did not want to move without a lot of persuasion. Is this how the system is supposed to operate. It seems to stiff. Their are no grease fittings for lubrication. The boat came from deleware. I assume there is alot of internal corrosion. Does anyone know the e-mail address or phone number to the manufacturer of this bracket? Any advice from people with prior experience with these brackets would be appreciated? Thanks Bob.

I've got a couple of these brackets in use. They are very stiff at the pivot points by design. Dont worry, just use them the way they are, they work well.

Thanks to both of you for the info. After sleeping on it the thought that it may be stiff by design crossed my mind. Tux974 go woth the twins. I purchased a velocity, kevlar hull, with twin 260s pushing approx. 600 hp. The acceleration is breathtaking. Still breaking in the motors. Hope to be into the 90's deeep. Best of luck and thanks again to you both.
