Adding fluid to a Mercury trim pump?

How do I add fluid to a Mercury internal trim pump? Pump seems to have reservoir on bottom and motor on top. 15/16 plug in front. Thanks, Chris

'94 Mercury 2.5L , not sure what year trim pump is.
seems to have motor on top and reservoir on bottom.
It's very hard to get to.

where is the fill plug located. there's a 15/16 plug on front, but I don't think that's it. the pump is hard to get to.

OK, This should be your system.

You trim the engine all the way up.

Look at item 23, this is your fill hole. And with unit all the way up you fill to that mark.

And it will make you cuss like a Marine and sailor fighting over a china girl!

get one of thoise old timey oil cans..metal ones with the pump handle...put a piece of hose on the spout (like a bleed line hose), and pump er up!! works for me
