Well I just got back. The shifter linkage was off and so when I backed in off the trailer it wouldnt go into forward and I had to padell by hand back to the trailer.I adjusted that and then went back out.It would hardley get on plane and didnt run worth a $hit.I then pulled the cowl and checked the butterflys.I had to adjust the the linkage at the foot throttle. It got dark after that so I came home.Wednesday I am going back out to dial in the setup with the drag yammy 24.
So all in all it ran fine :D Should run real good when its all the way open I saw 6000 rpms at half throttle with a 30 cleaver  :D

All throttle, shifter and wireing adjustments have been made.Going out to run again tomorrow. Its a small pond/lake so no big numbers just drag set up dial-in.Guys remember its been a couple years sinse I drove a boat like this.Dont expect too much from me in the next couple weeks.Race Saturday and then RR2 after that.

Sounds like needles and seats Rob. Check your float heights and for any speck of trash or debris in the seat. Also double check your fuel pressure. Even though all the others are holding, the weakest one will blow by if the fuel pressure is a little high.

Well it looks like I fixed it.I took the carb apart again and adjusted the floats again.Ran it on the hose and seems to have fixed it.Yes I have new needle and seats as well.;)

Those things are probably so old, they were made out of clay, twigs and pebbles by the Native Americans. Rob, make sure you adjust the pebbles and twigs in there while you're at it. If the twigs are floating too high, the pebbles will shut off the fuel flow too quickly. :D
Sorry, couldn't resist jumping on the pile. Hopefully I'll see you over there on Saturday.
