just started testing for the drags at the ranch boat seams a little hairy with this prop has a little to much lift want to try other props but not any around down here for a big shaft am running a 14.5/8 x 23 murcury tempest through the hub come;s out real good but seams to lift the boat alittle to much for my likeing ran 111mph in a 1000ft but seems like it needs a different wheel not used to this short track stuff if anyone has a good drag wheel for a fat shaft case and are coming to the rr please bring it for me to try will buy it if it works and you want to sell it, thanks keys dave

A 28 will not work in that boat and motor. You will get left behind hard.
Dave just spend that jack and buy a 24 yammy and have Tillman mod the hub while he works it for your boat and engine combo.:)
111mph in 1000 ft you shouldn't change anything.

Joe I've been to...too many of these to count and only one thing allways stays the same. No matter who put's these things on, at a boating event a race will ocasionally break out! With this croud, you can count on it! Now just where IS Tyner...

Saturday.
When I went to Shreeveport we only ran 700' and the fastest guys there were running 2:1's w/20's, I'd say unless you're turning 11K 20 is probably too small for 1000'.
The only exception was Rick Fishers Wayne Taylor 3.4 running 1.87's w/a 26". But he had MOTOR
What am I thinkin? I'm already bait :o Yeah, 20's, that's the ticket :)
I am bringing my 22" also but I was running out of motor before 700' w/it last time :p
I'm geeked guys.
Let's do this thing ;)

i know that i don't want to turn a 20 pitch i don't think i would gain over what i have the bottom would be better but i would run out before 600 to 700ft the prop i run now runs out at about 900 to 1000ft at 10500so i really don't think i would gain from it i am getting a yamaha 22tilman to try tommorow will let everyone know how it works have never ran 1 but hear they are the ****. wish there was someone here to practice with it sucks trying to judge things by yourself can't really tell if it's better without at clock or someone racing you just going by feel is pretty tough. keys dave

close now.
You should be done accelerating right before the finish ball.
Are you running a 22 or 24 now??
If you're turning 10,500, the 22 Tillman will probably be about perfect for 1000' !

jason (red v-21) was running the 2 to 1's and a 20p turning it 11k. it was done in 500'
a 20p works great with 1.87's in 600' if your not scared to let it spin. in shreveport i was running 1.87's and a 23p turning it a little over 10k. i wish i would have had my 20p on cuz the holeshot sucked compared to when i ran 2 to 1's with a 22p at the 1/8 mile race last winter

dez nuts a 22 is pretty good with 1.87 in 1000 feet, you should be out of prop, at 800 feet (maybe less).... but with a good ET. MPH doesn't mean much, it is all about ET.
But 111mph in 1000 feet is moving.

He even told me he has Russ sharpening the bottom of the boat and putting on a special speed/slick bottom on that t-2. Look out Parker you might need more than that 17'' aluminum!!!!!!!!:)
