were planning another run to holiday park, for all those that missed the first run we had a great time. we meet up at sunoco at 8:30, fill fuel then go to holiday park. bring some burgers and dog's cause there's a bbq there to cook on.

There's a small bbq area down one of the canals, prolly set up by hunters/airboaters. I think we run west from the ramp and then turn north??

How far do ya'll normally run one way and do ya go out to the ally???

Might bring my bass boat so ya'll will have some one at the back of the pack:D Louis

never ran out to the ally but, we did run all the way to 41(tamiami trail)it'sabout 27 miles to 41. i'd say from holiday park to the bbq area is prob 15 miles..

O.K. that's the little island I was thinking about. You start west from the ramp, but the canal turns south. then you make the right turn by the litlle dam. I think.

this should be a nice run, there about six boat that are going so far.test and tune, bring your props, there's plenty of straight running in the canals.

i will try to make it there. it is so close to the time of riverranch i don;t know for sure if i can get away but will try i love running oput there. later keys dave

This is in my back yard, and I would love to run, but I have the problem with being so close to River Ranch also. 8:30 at Sunoco means in the water at 9? I know y'all are cooking--is this an all day affair? I might try to drop in for two-three hours.

Looks like it will be windy, there is some protection in the canals but the wind will gust in them and have seen cross winds.. Not gonna stop us from coming but everyone needs to be careful;) Louis

Very true...those cross-winds can come from out of nowhere, so don't get too trim-happy.:rolleyes: I still plan on going out there on Sunday but 9am might be a bit too early for me on a sunday morning.:cool: If I get there late I'll meet up at the island.

Where is this island?? I'v been out there dozens of times and never could find it. GPS numbers will work too.

Go west from the boat ramp, canal will turn south. Make the only right you can make(theres a dam to your left) and stand on it. I know from the ramp to the island is about 12 miles...

there is two right's you can make. the first one is close to the ramp, the second right is the one you need to turn right at. it should be about 6-7 miles down the canal.. see everyone there... rick

8:30 at the Sunoco? Is that at Griffin and 27, or further South? Last time I was there they had just built it. I will be there for a few hours, at least.

we will be there, the sunoco is on the corner of sheridan and 27. there's a couple guy's from the key's that say there going too.. see everyone there.. rick

it's really going to be nice. if it stay's a little overcasted and windy it will be nice and cool at the bbq spot.i'll bring the the fire and cooking tools. see everyone there tomm. rick

I had a hole in my rusted fuel filter so it stalled leaving the ramp. Busted the bumper on my truck at the ramp. got pissed and left.:mad: Can't believe I missed out again. Well it seems like everyone had a good time. I'll be at RR on Saturday. Hope I can meet up with a few of you guys there.
