Just loking for some opinions on the motor . looking to repower with twins on a 36 intrepid . seeing it is a stroker motor and geared to high performance would it hold up to day in and day out fishing running up to 200 miles each way in the NE going to the canyons. Really dont want to go with verados. I love my 225 opti's but i need to have some more speed. thanks for all the input

is a pretty big boat for twins but, if you liked the 225 opti your gona love the 300xs's. there probably going to be the best bang for the buck compared to the verados..

Yeah i know but that is what the boat came with i mainly use it for shark and tuna fishing so blazing speed is really not that much of a priorty, rather reliability from off shore runs. What do you think about them holding up will i see the reliability like the 225's or are these more geared towards racing and not running long continious periods on a heavy boat ????
