i got a 93 merc 200 carbed, question after i port the intakes and exhaust ports to about the specs of a 2.5 would running the 7 petal promax front half work well with the carbs or should i stick with the 5 petal?

Your 93' 200 should be a 2.5. AS for the reeds, what are your plans with the motor, size of boat, rpm's etc. My guess is if you are cutting ports then you are looking for substantial more power.

yep....79 v-king 18 feet pad v 625lbs w/o engine yeah i want to be around 260hp if possible on 93 octane
