looking at buying a 17' stream with a 200 promax owner says boat runs 92mph with a 32p merc 3 blade cleaver at 7800rpm's . sound about right or is this guy out to lunch? what do you think... boat is solid has new floor stringers and transom let me know please i dont want to buy junk...

That motor isnt turning 7800 with that prop at that speed. if he was turning 7800 thats like 112. Me thinks hes turning that 32 at 7000 if he is indeed going 92, which is very possible..

At 6800 with a 32 at 10% slip it would be running 99. Use this prop calculator to check this out.

92 is nothing to scoff at if it is GPS and if the boat really is solid.

A vector with a 200 could run 90 with a good setup and driver.
A vector with a 200 promax could pass that!
I think the guys just not sure of the r's and the prop possibly!
I'm looking for a 225promax for my vking and that should run close to 100.
