Has anyone been running this motor? How does it stack up against the 300X? I'm kicking around the idea on a Bullet 21XDC. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Does the xs use the same motor harness as the x motor?
And does this motor have as much power as the 300x?

you can use the old style harness, with an adapter that merc sells. i just finished rigging a 21 extreme with a 300xs. the motor has a very deep tone to it. were taking it to the water tomm for break in.

Is this boat that is being tested for Powerboat mag and what are the performance figures like. I saw somewhere 103 mph in guardian mode. Has this improved. What size blades. Are the motors set back at all and what would be the rigged weight of this boat.

besides how they run and the power they make, how do they compare in weight to the 300x?

weight is the same as the 300x, i'm still lovin mine, you can beat 6 mpg at cruise and 4 mpg at almost wot. :D:D:Dmy 300x use to get me 2 mpg at cruise.. what a differance..

How does the XS sound compared to the X? Does it seem as "torquey"?

I understand the fuel advantages. But how does the power compare to an x motor or even a 300 promax?

Merc's advert in Powerboat showed a power curve and around 310 HP. I think the 300X was probably a touch higher, but I don't know that. The XS should have more bottom end and mid range as it has an additional 0.3L.

So the power is closer to a promax then to an x motor?

has anyone run the same setup with a 300x and then a 300xs? what are we looking at here, a loss of 1-2 mph?
