My guy ( that did GREAT work I might add ) cannot continue narrowing ( via a surface grinder ) the small end of the 5250 series to a 41 series spec. As most engine machine shops don't surface grind I need to find a source to get the tops of these rods narrowed .050" on each side ( or a total of .100" )with a + - tollerance of .002"... Anybody know of where this can be performed at a reasonable rate contact me ! Either call 1 281 576 5088 cst , E-mail on scream and fly , PM etc....
Thanks,
jerry

great jerry, jay has been doing them with a #4 bastard file. a little slow though....do you use a coarse or medium grit belt ? jay would like a fine slick finish...
knew jerry would have the problem easily solved...silly me !
ya see i told them jerry should have been chosen over rosey to co host the view... he's alot smarter than her, has prettier legs, and has a much snazzer wardrobe too , jerry just would'nt get off that high $$ askin price and the lesbo won out...:(

The guy that does driveshafts for me is a mechanical wizard and has access to a machine shop with millions of dollars worth of equipment. I'll give him a shout and see if he's interested.
Since I don't have rods laying around you'd probably need to send me one to have him look at.

Our shop at work has 5 surface and 5 cylindrical grinders and I'm just gonna start learning to use them. Too bad we can't do commercial work. :(
