Me and Randy (AQUAHollic) got our boats out last weekend. My buddy went with us and took some pics and video on his digital camera.
I thought I would give some video editing a try........take and look and see what you think. For some reason, when I put the video on google it reduced the quality...it looks kind of fuzzy.

Yep, I air it out pretty good in the video.....but it picks up a few more MPH if I get the nose down a bit. I didn't have my GPS with me that time, but the last time I had it the boat was running right at 80mph. This time I was showing 80 on the Gaffrig speedo with 2 people in the boat.....so I'm sure I was running low 80's with just me in there.
The boat actually runs really nice with the nose up like that.....that Trophy likes to lift the nose.....so I let it :D

Yea I Like My Vegas Too How Much Plate ,height, and Pitch. I Burned My Motor Up 2 Weeks Ago With 5 People And Some Other Stuff At 66.8 Mph Gps I Had Stock Lu With 2 Top Holes Pluged And 12 Plate About 2 3/4 Below Pad. Was Feeling It Out And Not Watching Gauge :( They Are Nice Looking Boats As Is The Other Bad Boy In There Good Job:)

I'm running a 10" plate, L&S cone on the LU, with the propshaft 1" under the pad. I've ran it even with the pad, but I just loose bowlift and don't gain any top end. I've ran 2" under (and deeper), but all that does it make the boat a handfull to drive over 70. 1" under the pad seems to be the best combination so far. Even with 5 people and 2 coolers on the boat, with a 25 Trophy it will come out of the hole pretty good.
The motor is a pretty much stock GT-200 Looper with Boysen 2-stage fiber reeds, 2.7 heads (120 psi), and a Bob's exhaust snout. Oh, when I got the boat I was told that it also has Wiesco forged pistons and a balanced rotating assembly.....but I don't know for sure.
I've also got a 27 DAH SRX prop that I though was the best thing since sliced bread....but after running this 25 Trophy (worked over by AQUAHollic), I think the SRX is going to stay a "spare prop". This 25 Trophy out accelerates the SRX, has more lift, is easier to drive...and top ends as fast or faster than that SRX.

That looks like fun, got some great shots in there. That does carry the bow pretty high but looks nice and smooth. Nice euro too!
And I have to say, it's my favorite vid so far! Watching the two boats hang it out on that nice smooth water is what this sport is all about..............

Yep......it was amazing how calm the lake was that day. It was around noon when we were taking the videos. I don't think I even had my boat over 60 the entire summer....that lake gets rough. It was nice to get out and run it fast for once.
I think we are going to try to get out again really soon and take some more video. :D

Great video!
Thanks for the prop info too, might try and get a hold of a trophy for the Vking!
Try speedyshare.com or putfile.com for video hosting, I noticed that about google reducing quality too!
Thanks, Alan:cool:

All the the Vegas xt's run up high like that on Long island to stay above the chop when running inside Jones Beach in the state channel that goes the whole length of the island..even fly over cruiser wakes above 50 and land right. If you leave early enough most skip by the slow zones too since they leave no wake and there is no traffic. Great Video!

That is great footage. Love to some more from you and others...
I would love to pst some of my vids, but how do you add titles and music to them for the best effect?

I just use Roxio Media Creator software to add music and affects to the video clips. That's the first video that I've ever done, so I don't really have a bunch of tips for you. I just kept messing with it until I liked it :D

Fantastic video ! Do you experience any chinewalking ? or are you correcting for it ? You look like you're really running the pad !
I just picked up a Trophy Plus 25 this last weekend. I ran it on my checkmate pulsare with a 225. I was very impressed with all aspects of the prop. Holeshot was great and topend was better and more stable. I think I'm going to raise my plate and or motor to see if it will eliminate my chinewalking over 70.
Keep the vids coming !!!
I'll get some flying footage if it doesn't rain all day Saturday, and IF my gearcase stays together for another half-hour.

"Fantastic video ! Do you experience any chinewalking ? or are you correcting for it ? You look like you're really running the pad !"
With the Trophy that I'm running, if you get just the right trim angle....it will pretty much drive itself without to much steering wheel input. When ever I really hang the nose up like that, I'm constantly bumping the wheel ever so slighty to keep it balanced on the pad. If I just hold the wheel steady....it will start to chine walk....and if I don't get out of the gas quick or try to correct it with the steering wheel....it will get pretty violent.
It was a problem when I first got the boat, but after learning how to drive it and getting the motor height just right, I don't even think about it.
It's nothing like driving that Euro though...that things like driving a car........point and go. :D
