150 Blackmax

Hi there,

Are there many differences between a '85 and a '93 150 blackmax? One has a big hole in the side and the other needs a stator. Will a swap work. Looked it up in part catalogue and stator shows different partnumber??

Also will a gearcase of either one fit/work on a 2.4efi bridgeport (+-~84) ?

Damn, too many ideas floating in my head..

U will have to use the flywheel from the 93...I think it haz a 40 amp and the older motor haz a 9amp/wit a small flywheel...You will also have to use the regulators for the newer motor...Gear cases will interchange if they both are 20"...The older gearcase will have a 2:1 gear, and the newer could have 1:87 or 2:1...Good luck, REX:cool:
