Well, I have lurked on this board for a quite a while, and being a long time member of another offshore performance boat board, I was told this is THE place for outboard info. With that said I am looking for info on the 29 Progression w/ twin outboard power, (prob. 250 or 300 Opti's, unless there is a better feel here for something else?). Any and all info, good bad or indifferent - (first-hand would be preferred... :). I have searched this site but having not found really anything on this particular model, I thought I'd ask.
Thanks very much in advance for your information!
Mark.

Thanks, been there and have even talked with Kevin. I am looking for anyone that has experience with the boat - been in it, driven it, owns one etc... How does it ride, handle, things to look out for or things that would make you drop off a check tomorrow for one.
DTMath,
What does Progression advertise speed wise for a 29' w/ 250s? Have anyone set one up w/ X motors? I'm setting up a similiar boat and interested in the #s.
Thanks-

Depending on conditions anywhere from high 70's to low 80's. I am sure he has rigged it with the X's, and I would guess you could see 90 with the right set up, I just didn't ask at the time.

BONE!
I came within a nats eye lash of buying one a few yrs back.
They are maybe the best built Vee bottom there is!
I looked at the 24's and 27's but really liked the 29's.
You would end up with on helll of a boat!

Do The Math, nice chatting with you tonight. If you talk to Kevin again, mention you spoke with me. I guarantee that he will know who you are talking about if you tell him Larry from Mass. Kevin knows just about all of his owners who bought new by name and many of the guys who bought used as well.

I am - and I have seen that boat, (sweet ride!) however... this go-round I am looking to do outboards, want to try something different and am sick of getting hassled for noise.

Guy up the river had one with X's, ran in the 90's( he said it went a 103, but I never saw it). I was also told it chine walked really bad. Chuck.

Not knocking the Krypto's but the 29 is a 27 .
The 30 Superboat & 29 Progressions are what they measure.... not including the platform.http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/3886/bashds2.gif (http://imageshack.us)
