First night of "Path to 9/11" mini series on ABC

First of all, I can't believe that ABC, competing hard to be THE MOST LIBERAL/Biased network ran it in the first place, but I think it painted a pretty accurate description of the Clinton administration's total lack of response to terrorist attacks, such as the first one on the World Trade Center, the USS Cole, and a couple of US Embassies.

There were several news accounts this week of officials from the Clinton Adm. whining and crying about the show painting an unfair portrait, and rumors of last minute panic editing on the part of ABC to weed out some of the details that apparently the likes of Madeline Albrite and Janet Reno found the most offensive. (most likely the most descriptive of thier actions and results) It therefore seemed about par for the course when the show ended 20 minutes short of it's allotted time with a "special edition" of nightline that seemed to sugar coat some of the more sensational details and spread some of the blame for lack of response over into the Bush Administration.

How does ABC possibly think they can sell that line of thinking to anybody with marginal common sense. The USS Cole was hit under Clinton, he threatened and DID NOTHING, and they say Bush is also to blame for lack of response on Cole???:confused:

My take on the whole thing both before and after watching the show tonight was that they busted our ass under Clinton and he did NOTHING except threaten and fire a few missles at some obscure target in Afganistan which proved to be a miss. The hit us again in the first year of Bush's Presidency and his response was severe, although some liberals argue that the target was irrelevant. At least it showed we don't sit and threaten, but if we're hit we will respond.

I realized before the show tonight that Bin Laden despises Americans, but never knew that he'd said he'd kill us all if we didn't convert to Islam. I strongly hope that some of the liberals among us that think foreigner's rights are more important than the security of innocent Americans get a wake up call from it (although I doubt it). We've gotta get a handle on some of the immigrants in this country, tighten our borders, and give up on this stupidity that stereotyping is always wrong, when it's ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY for national security.

I think that's a very common misconception. Far too many people think they hate us because of our actions, when in reality, they hate us for who we are.

Our government is not resolved to win this war against the arab muslims,
Yes President Bush has done something more than the worthless Clinton
administration but in my opinion we have not turned our military forces
loose on the enemy, we have been constrained and detered by the PC
crowd,the liberal polititions and by foreign opinion, President Bush is not
doing enough, we could have literaly cleaned the enemy off the map but
we don't want to hurt any bystanders!?? Just how many of the arabs jumped
up and celebrated when the towers fell ???

I believe we need to clean Iroc and afganistan out with as much mercy as

The only thing these politicians respond to is losing votes. If they think they are going to lose alot of votes they will do what that group wants. They're like a bunch of crack whores, so lets treat them like one!!!
