THIS THREAD WAS FORMERLY ''WANNA RIVER RACE LEGAL LIKE'' BUT I HAD SOME NEW NEWS AND NEEDED TO THROW A COUPLE OF SPONSOR LOCATIONS ON HERE AND DIDNT WANT TO PUT THEM 2 OR 3 PAGES DOWN BECAUSE THEY MADE IT POSSIBLE.
I WENT TODAY FOR THE LAST TRIP TO THE CORPS. OFFICE TO FINALIZE OUR EVENT AND PAY FOR THE PERMIT. THERE WILL BE SOME T-SHIRTS AVAILABLE, FULL BLOWN GRAFFICS IN THE FRONT AND ALL THE SPONSORS ON THE BACK. IF THERE IS SOME OUT OF TOWNERS COMING THE OFFICIAL HOTEL SITE FOR THIS EVENT WILL BE '' THE JAMESON INN '' 229-243-7000, LOCATED ON HWY 27 SOUTH AT THE BAINBRIDGE CITY LIMITS, LET THEM KNOW YOURE HERE FOR THE EVENT. THERE IS ALSO TWO STORES ON THE SPONSOR LIST ONE ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE RIVER '' BIG BOYS BAIT AND TACKLE '' 229-246-9405 AND '' SAMMY'S BAIT AND TACKLE '' 229-246-2199 IS ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE RIVER.
RIGHT NOW WE ARE LOOKING AT ABOUT 20 TO 30 BOATS THAT CAN RACE TO SHOW UP, BUT WE STILL HAVE 3 WEEKS TO GO BUT THAT IS STILL NOT A BAD NUMBER FOR OUR FIRST EVENT. I REALLY WOULD LOVE TO SEE SOME OF THE FLORIDA GUYS TO SHOW UP, HOW BOUT IT '' HOT SHOT MERC '' DO YOU THINK YOU OR SOME OF YOURE BUDDIES DOWN THAT WAY CAN MAKE IT ?:rolleyes:

We are only legalized to race on Saturday, September 23rd but some will be up here Friday afternoon and Sunday as well. Thanks for the reply.

Which STV kicked everybody's butt???? Dialed one in earlier this week and got the Big Man's STV from Alabama getting a serious tuneup. Gained over 9 tenths in 1/4. Thanks Wally for the bottom work! Between Big Man and Old Stv Smith's Bend is now STV's bend!! Hard driving Big Man's boat....the seat's in the floor and need a phone book to look over the dash!!! Gonna have to borrow one of them for Pro gas in Jasper!!!!!Dixon(and Bud lite)

Hey Dixon . Ibeat evryone so bad they wouldn't even talk to me anymore. Wouldn't even let me park at the sand bar. I half tracked oldstv and let out on him. Turned around and ran him in reverse and still beat him but I could at least see him this time, bein I was in reverse and all. :D

Yea, we got some and will try to post them later today. The turnout was great and there was good running too. Thanks to all that had a part in it. I don't think there was any trouble all day. Dnr gave out two tickets to a boat pulling a tube down at the finish line:(...lets do it again!!!

Damn Casey . You went from one extreme to the other. Was it hard to weigh your boat there . I saw on some pics that they were using some kind of A- frame rig or something to pick the boats up with.

for getting some pics of my first time in the water with my new SS 2000 that I just picked up from Mike Mullis.

I lost every race except one. Had no idea that everybody would be running 21 cc heads. I was running 34s and a non-Yamaha prop. Not a bad day for the first time out.

I had a great time. DNR was great.

Glad You Made It!!!Booby.I always ran a 24 yammy prop,no setback and engine hight= shaft 3/4 above the pad,Small plastic fuel tank,two small dry cell batterys for 24 volt trim and no rear seat.I know its a lot of work to take off the jack plate but thats how that heavy boat drag raced its best.:)

THANKS FOR THE INFO, I LEFT THE JACKPLATE OFF FOR A WHILE, THEN I MOVED THE SEAT FOWARD JUST A BIT--LIKE TWO INCHES AND IT THROWED THE WHOLE BOAT OFF AND SENT IT INTO A HOPP.THATS WHEN I PUT THE JACKPLATE ON SO I COULD HAVE A LITTLE PLAYING ROOM. THE BOAT RUNS DECENT FOR WHAT IT IS( A BONE STOCK 260 ) AND THE OLD HEAVY THING EVEN GETS UP OUT OF THE WATER GOOD. IF I CAN'T RUN WITH THEM, YOU MIGHT AS WELL TRY TO OUT LOOK THEM AND YOU GOT TO ADMITT SHE LOOKS PRETTY GOOD WITH THAT SET BACK ON THERE.:)
MABYE OVER THE WINTER I WILL SNATCH IT OFF AND SEE HOW SHE DOES.
