I finally "Finished" putting my boat back together and then took it out yesterday. Some of the things taht I have been doing to it include new dual cable steering, new power trim from an 89's OMC, a 1975 135hp evinrude powerhead that I installed boysen reeds into and intake stuffers, new water pump kit, and all sorts of odd and ends along the way. Well when I took it out on the lake the first thing was that it was a BULL to start. It will turn over a few times real slow and then start to crank faster (maybe the cylenders are igniting to soon)? Then when I finally left the dock I realized that my steering was backwards, as in turn the wheel left and then the boat would turn right. Then on my second run across the lake I got a big cloud of smoke inside the boat when the battery tipped over and my new wireing for my trim and hydriolic jack plate melted down as they arced off of each other and melted themselves into the fuel line that was WAY to close to the wires. So now I had no power trim or jack plate. And then to top it all off my 135 decides that it don't wanna run anymore and never started again that day and I got towed in. Pulled the plugs and they were very wet and black. Then when pulling my boat home I get about a mile from my house when my trucks tranny decides to start spewing fluid out like an oil slick. What a day. needless to say but I did not even touch that boat yet and ended up drinkin my pain away last night. At least my chopper still worked so I could go out last night (although I almost stayed home with my bad luck streek i was a little nervous). Zach
