Cowling question

I have an 87 Merc Laser, 2.4, with the clam-shell style cowling, How do I bolt it, glue it, weld it;) on to my 2.4 offshorre mid housing....I also have a 92 2.5, Mariner style cowling that could also be used if the 2.4 can't be.

Thanks, but the cowling isn't broken.... I am trying to have the effect of a "sleeper" motor if you will..... Or am I just making this harder than it is. I can't have back splash in the motor when I come off plain, so I was wondering how to mount to a non-flat pan or a standard cowl to the offshore mid.
