How in the world do you stop a Mid-Plate from rusting up so fast, especially around the part that saperates the water and exhaust. Can i paint it with some good primer and paint or just bite the bullet and change it as often as they go.. Should there be a more durable replacement..
Thanks!

Next time you take it out clean it very good (bead blast if possible) & get some zinc rich epoxy primer (or cold galvanize spray can before zinc rich epoxy) & then a good compatible black topcoat (urethane preferrable). It will hold up real well. Other than that have it powdercoated with a high temp black. That's about the only 2 choices that will hold up.

Oh yeah that will work excellent. Just make sure it's VERY clean before you apply the primer. Git R Dun
