Fuel line rigging

I'm guessing that when rigging a fuel system on an outboard we do not use the quick connects or the primer bulb, correct? If so I guess you need to squirt a bit of fuel iin the carbs for initial startup.

Any hints for a first itmer on a V4? Sizes, anti-siphon?
