V-6 cowl interchangeability

I have a 1978 2.4L 200 horse with clamshell cover. The cover doesn't seem to fit properly. The guy I bought it from says he traded the old cover for a cover off of a 150 V-6 (something about trying to beat insurance costs or something dither like that). Anyway, will a cover off a 1976 or 77 150 fit directly onto a 200 without issues? If it does, something else is going on here.

Will a cover off a 1984 200horse fit my 1978 without modifications? Have a chance here on ScreamandFly to buy what sounds like a very clean one off a 1984.
