crankshaft ???

just got a 2.5 200 crank but when i took it to the machine shop he said that one of the journals has been welded. how liable can these cranks be?

Depends on who did it. I have seen a lot of failures over the years. To me it isn't worth it, just find another crank. Cheap insurance.

yeah they say that crank will work good on fishing motors. just purchased a brand new one from pro marine. thanks
