Great fun for all!
Boat ran aswesome Mark! After yaching on the phone and looking at the shot, you can see the bearier wall in back ground which is at ramp meaning finish line buoy.
Tony and Kathy Wilson worked their asses for months leading up to this thing let alone the weekend itself. Great job guys!!
Rob and Keena King bailed us out on the Poker Run again even though it was rougher than all get out and we broke two boats in the run
Brad and Kim Murphy and family ran the raffle and Brad kept us all sane while out on the patrol boat (thank you for that one Brother!!) during the drags.
Lloydster came up from Fla (beat me out of farthest tow by 30 freagin miles :p ) , played grunt behind the scenes for Tony and ran his ever lovin butt off!! (good to see you guys again too!)
My buddy Ben came down and worked behind the scenes (excellent job as finish line judge!)even though he swore he was going to play "town drunk" all weekend :p (Only bitch about that job was Yammer after being spanked by WingNut :p I was standing right behind him Jeff)
Thanks to Jeff Young for flagging River Racer so Tony could play!
Marine Patrol officer Greg Davis did his usual excellent job of keeping all (most ;) ) of us in control one more time and we thank you for that sir!
Was lots of behind scenes people thrashing to help make this happen,THANX to every one of you!!
Whole event was just awesome!! Lots of great boat racing and running.
Was on the Fountain at the final card stop and watched the lead boats come in that had suffered through the abuse the river gave them.
Seems that the lead guys turned it into something other than a Poker "Run"
My bud Brian came home first in his Alli and then collapsed in the back seat :p
Next was our buddies Iron Mike and Jimmy in the Mirage. Then one of the V-8 powerd Eliminators (sorry, didn't get your name).
The most impressive though was the 4th boat in.......
Freain WingNut and his dad in Nut's 400lb Laser!! Little Scotty is turning into one of the better pad drivers I have seen.
When he ran/beat Yammer, he went past the finish ball on his side (check the picture in another thread) and never freagin lifted!!
Remember the saying "it ain't the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog"!!!
Big fun Scotty! Rob (his dad), you should be proud of that young man!
Had to include the bellow photo of Ben and our buddy Bob who ran his Fountain as the final card stop at the beach after the Poker Run.
After several "adult beverages" they were sure they could save this jeep they found sinking in the sand. :)

Scott does definitely drive the hell out of that boat.
But, just to set the record straight: Was he, or wasn't he, one of the poker runners that gave themselves a few minutes' head start? There were at least a couple. It's not as easy to keep up when you're crossing wakes and rooster tails.
my arms still hurt...

Actually no, just the opposite.
Mike in the Mirage was telling me that he and Brian in the Alli kept waiting for the flag for the start when every one else took off. Mike said most of the field was gone before they even launched.
They then ran the field down on the outside of the river and passed everyone along the shore line.
He said when he got out front he took a look back to see where every one was when Nut and his dad pulled up beside them  (not sure where he may of started but know he worked his butt off to finish with the lead groupl!)

I would also like to thank Brad and Kim Murphy and family for the Raffle, Jeff Young & the number girls on the racing, Greg Davis(Best Water Patrol Man Ever!), and of course Tony & Kathy. Tony & Cathy do so much work behind the scenes and do it so well. I know everyone I have ever talked to at the Rumble really appreciates it. Eventhough some may not say it. YOU TWO ARE THE BEST!!!!! I also know all of us at the Rumble want it to continue and will do our part to help. Our group from Michigan will help in any way we can.
THANKS AGAIN!
It was another huge success! :D

What a great weekend! Fast boats, crazy drivers, good weather, lots of lies, cold beer and hot pizza, good looking women, friendly dogs and more fast boats. All this thanks to the hard work of Kathy/Tony and their supporting cast of only a very few dedicated folks. Many thanks to the whole crew. Sorry to say that all you folks that were not there missed one hell of a show.
Tony only one suggestion....you are going to have to take away that box of TNT from Warlock Dave......................................................................

Gary at no time was I bitching at all ........ I was just asking how close it was, cause there were others who said different ( not that it matters ) I don't care who wins or loses at the Rumble. I would have ran every boat there if my electronics didn't break down on Friday. I still put my boat in anyway and gave the Rumble my $125 that I knew would be a donation anyway :D :D And sorry if I held you up a while trying to get in the water to even attempt to run U/L ..... :o
Good job once again on and at the Rumble Tony/Gary/Cathy ...... and all of the others. Sorry I wasn't able to help out much this year .............. I hate driving 9.5 hrs and working on your **** all weekend. .............. good to see all of you guys again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got home a few hours ago and passed out for a few hours.
1. Thanks again Tony and Cathy Wilson for ANOTHER great Rumble!!
2. PYRO.....You seemed to have left without paying you tent bill. I could keep my boat as clean as yours if I had free indoor storage! Get hold of Tony and send him a check for $60.00!!!
3. Great to see EVERYONE again!!!
4. I'm still trying to remember everything so thats enough for my post. Later, Dave

I didn't even see the start (and didn't emply bitching at all, figured you were joking when you asked me "who" was calling the finish line??)and expected to see you half track him and then when you didn't is when I ran down to the finish line to see Nut go across on his starbord chine with his foot on the floor.
Also, no issues what so ever on being delayed. Didn't even realize it (knew you scratched and re-entered I think U??, but that was way cool with me. Fix it, toss it in the water and light er up!) but knew you'd been thrashing all weekend.
Heck I ran over and helped G-Train (while announcing) torque head bolts after swapping heads from tight to loose for RR.
Every boat was in the water when his crew came up and asked for more time. I ran to his trailer and helped get him ready.
PYRO.....You seemed to have left without paying you tent bill. I could keep my boat as clean as yours if I had free indoor storage! Get hold of Tony and send him a check for $60.00!!!
The man is right, I realized this when we were in Dayton on the way back. My towing friend was in a hurry to leave, I didn't get to say bye to a lot of you, or pay the bills. I'll connect with him and get him the money. (I was told it was $50.) I'm cheap, and almost broke, but I'm not a freeloader. :D

Wow what a great time, I have to say this rumble was even better than last year!! I really enjoyed myself and meeting all the great people, I have to say that boat people are definately the best and nicest people in the world I felt pretty darn proud swimming in that water trying to get that mirage on the trailer and looking around at all the other boaters selflessly doing the same tryiing to save a fellow boaters ride!! As long as you guys keep putting on the event, the michigan crew of myself Gtrain and his sons will be coming back!! thanks to each and everyone of you!!

Rumble 2006
Had a great time at the Rumble, Hats off to Tony, Cathy and Gary you put on one fine show. Only complaint was there were not enough 2 minute and 1 minute warnings. And they could have been louder?? Maybe we needed some higher in the air 4” balls next time??
Was great to meet everyone, and see some of the fastest boats on the water that may not compete competitively. That’s what the Rumbles about, coming down and hanging out, Running not wrenchin’. Yammer was wrenchin and waiting for parts.
Had a Great time, look forward to Rumble on the River 2007
Lets get another class for some of the slow boats out there a Stock 225 and less class so we can get some more boats off the trailer. I’ll enter that class even with the props I had with.
Dave lets get some bigger 2 minute warnings for next year. Bigger than the candy cane

I loved the Rumble.....1st time and will be back again.:D For us Canadian's this is a treat.
Very cool to put faces to screen names and hang out with alot of REAL COOL guys. I have never ran a Drag course before and had no real intention to do so (showed up with a 14x28 cleaver), after some coaxing I tried a very unconventional 18p prop and got hooked on this stuff large. There were alot of stinking hot and very fast boats there....I drove a fair way and was intimidated by much of the chit there....some Grudge races were neck and neck, some I did better and a few left me at the mid point buoy:eek: ( you guys are on my hit list for next year):D . Point is, I went to play and I played lots and lots.....THANKS and let's do it again. We actually had locals thank us for showing up.....very friendly folks. ***I'm sending a fax to the Mayor right after this to urge Rumble '07.***
I have lots of pics and vids of most of the actual class races, Grudge races.....Tinker Toy running, YAMMER'S SPANKINGS too:D . Trying to get that up soon.
Nice to meet: Modvp22 , your Bro and Chris and crew, G-Train, RudeRiot, T-Rex, Warlock, Wingnut + Dad (Rob?), CharlieM, Outboardsforlife+ Dad+Dexter, Instigator, Tony, Greg and Maureen, plus anyone else I met and forgot or shared a beer with. Really hope to see you all again next year.

Wow, what a Rumble. Thank you Tony and Kathy for hosting and sweating out such a great event. I'm definately participating in the efforts to make Rumble 07 happen
It was a blast meeting STV Dreamer and the rest of the Canadians. You guys rock! Dreamer thanks again for the smaples of the Canadian beer! It's always a great time when RBT, Blake, Sweety, Yammer and RPM Racing come around. You guys are a blast to hang out, as always.
RBT it is always great seeing you and hearing the stories of Canada, note to self-I'll pick Blake over and hockey player anyday, lol
Greg, as always the photos are phonemonal (sp?).
G-Train and crew, it's always good to see you, and wow your boats are always so consistant. Your boys are a trip, great guys :)
RudeRiot, Greg it was a pleasure meeting you and thanks so much for your help swapping the water pump out. Here's a guy who's never met me before, come over and spend over an hour hammering away trying to get a impeller off the driveshaft for me..what a guy!
Warlock, the bombs man...I think my ears are still ringing. Hey how's come we never see those at Blarney Mr. DNR officer Dave??
KyRiverRat...let's get you a drag prop and turn that thing loose!
OutboardsforLife-sorry about the crack in the hull, hope you and your dad still had a good time. We definately need to party when I'm at Blarney next.
WingNut-dude that boat hauls ass! I was supprised and still am at how well you got that thing running
Instigator-sorry about the gearcase man. Hey I may be in FL in Oct., I will keep you posted.
FLboyinILL-man I owe ya big, that socket you lent me was a savior. Glad to hear you are doing well in the bracket racing, keep it up man
and again, I'm glad the Xtreme Marine crew was there to help and assist..these Wisconsin boys know how to boat...and party HARD!
those of you who missed Rumble 06, you missed a great time. This is the event to be at!
2goracing, you better talk to kim, she might put her foot down and want a ring and a kid. 6:40's would be tough on motor...... though you have got to be close now.
1 tenth at 100 is 14 feet....... so that is another boat and a half.... quicker than my watch this year.
RT
2GORACING
08-24-2006, 12:16 PM
1 Tenth Is 14.6666 Ft. At 100mph Over A Distance If Speed Dosn't Change. In A 700 Ft. Drag Race Your Starts Are At 1-2 Mph Role, So Your Speed Average From Start To Finish Is Not 100mph!!! Speed Is More Like 80mph Average From Start To Finish. So Its More Like 11 1/2 Ft Per/tenth. You Can Go To The Bank I Will Pick Up A Boat Length, That Will Be 6.40. All Motor, No Nos. More Trick Stuff On The Way.
Good point!
I got some more too...... maybe on the Barney boat...... maybe on mine ( if it ever gets built ) Was damn good racing this year. I hope to see that happen again. If I can get my vision back, I would rather mix it up with you guys instead of setting them up...... Bob was right there too. DAMN cool!.

Oh and I have spoken to two other guys that are saying they will make the show..... they are more than capable of mixing it up too.

So, I got a boat for next year, even though I told everyone that I met at the rumble that I was going to wait a while to buy one. I should be ready to rumble for next years.
It was good meeting/drinking/riding with everyone. I will be out with the slalom ski again next year too. Hopefully this time I won't have to stop and help drag a boat to shore before I ski again....haha. Hope your boat is doin better btw.
