Okay Guys, I'm about to re-power my 1967 Donzi Sweet 16 Outboard. I'vr been running a 1999 175 Ocean Pro and allthough its been great its time has come. Being that we are allready at $5.oo a gallon down here in the islands I was thinkin about a 130 E-Tec. I don't ever run the boat over 42mph or so anyway as it usually pretty choppy around here. wish i knew the weight of the boat but I don't. I'm hoping 130 new horses might be a better set up than 175 tired ones. Any thoughts?

Thanx in advance

Nate

If you are going to stick with e-tec, I would put the new 200hp small block version on it or at the very least the 150hp V6. I think you would be dissapointed going form a 175 V6 to a 130 V4.

If there is any truth to the adversing you sould see significant fuel savings even with the 200hp crusing at only 40mph. But then if you want to go faster you can. With the smaller motor that will not be an option and you hole shot may suffer.

There is no 130 at this time. I would opt for the 150 any ways.
